Privacy

This is a placeholder. The final privacy statement will be written by a Norwegian privacy lawyer before any paid launch. Here is the doctrine.

What we collect

When you take the JACKAL interview, we collect what you write in your answers, your email address for account access, and the technical data a browser sends (IP address, browser, timestamp).

Your answers may contain sensitive information — emotions, judgments of others, health status, life situation. This is special category data under GDPR Article 9. You give a separate consent for that processing before you begin the interview.

Why we need it

Only to produce your JIK. We use your answers to assemble the report you have paid for. We do not use them for marketing, research, or AI training. We do not sell anything to third parties. None.

How long we keep it

Your raw answers are stored for twelve months for audit and dispute resolution, then automatically deleted. Your JIK record stays in your account for as long as you want it. You can delete your JIK with one click. When you delete, we delete every copy. We keep no backup.

Where data lives

Everything is processed on EU servers (Hetzner Helsinki). No data leaves the EU. We use Claude Sonnet 4.5 from Anthropic for the interview, under an EU data-processing agreement. Your data is not used for training.

Your rights

You can request access, correction, deletion, and data portability. You can withdraw your consent at any time. Write to hei@projectjackal.com. You can also lodge a complaint with the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet).

Controller

Steffen Valle Øvrebø ENK · Org. no. 837 640 482. Address, full DPO information, and legal contact appear in the final statement.

DPIA

We conduct a Data Protection Impact Assessment (DPIA) before launch. The DPIA is archived with us and can be shared on request from relevant authorities.

Changes

When this statement changes we notify every account holder. Last update date: placeholder — set at launch.

This placeholder is not a substitute for legal review. JACKAL does not open to paying users until a privacy lawyer has approved the final text.
